HUNT IN CAMBODIA IS TO BE OPEN IN THE END OF 2009 (MAY 29, 2009)

The first hunting in modern times in Cambodia is slated to begin in December 2009, according to information provided by company that will run the hunts. In February, the government of Cambodia approved a new 270,000-acre conservation area in a region of the country adjacent to its border with Vietnam. Trophy fees and other hunting regulations have not yet been finalized. Although it's not known yet exactly which species will be available to hunt, the area holds gaur, banteng, Asian water buffalo, sambar, leopard, civet, and Himalayan black bear. The hunting season will run December through March.


TAJIKISTAN 2009 - WHAT HAS THE MORROW IN STORE FOR US (May 4, 2009)
According to the word from the official source, most probably the hunt in Tajikistan will be opened this year. The Hunting Department of Tajikistan is now figuring out the number of licenses and negotiates possible areas of hunting. Currently it is known for certain that only 2 out of 5 outfitters were accredited to conduct hunts in Tajikistan. An official directive concerning the terms of the hunt, areas and number of licenses supposed to be issued during the Summer period. We will keep you informed. (May 4, 2009)

TUR HUNT IN RUSSIA NOW POSSIBLE IN SPRING (March 2, 2009)
Russian Ministry of Agriculture after long negotiations, researches and close coordination with analysts, wildlife scientists and outfitters, carried the resolution to open Spring Tur hunt in Caucasus since 2009. The Spring hunt will last from the 15 of April till the 15 of May. Just in a couple of weeks we will be able to sum up the results of this innovation and to provide you with pictures and hunter’s reports. Don’t be ahead of time, we are expecting the Spring season to be very successful, as the mountain peaks are in snow at this time, Tur prefer to stay at the bottom of the mountains and at the flatlands there the fresh herb and green can be find. This significantly facilitates the process of the hunt and gives the hunter more chances to find a beautiful ram. (March 2, 2009)

CHINA IS ABOUT TO OPEN THE HUNT THIS FALL (February 5, 2009)
Earlier this year the Minister of Forestry of China has emitted a directive to various departments to finalize all necessary arrangements for the reopening of hunting this year. Since this winter there were a lot of rumors concerning reopening the trophy hunt in China and now an official statement came directly from Beijing. Forestry Department heads are expected to complete regulations and quotas by July the 1st. By that time they should declare whether they will revert to the previous system of issuing quotas to hunting operations or will use an experience of public auctions. (February 5, 2009)
