LAST HUNT OF 2007: TWO LYNX TROPHIES
Hunting in Russia Our last trip of 2007 was a double success:
Jan Baand (Denmark) bagged two trophies in 7 days. Jan was hunting for Lynx in Vologda, Russia.
The high level of snow cover made it tough and unpredictable, however luck attended the hunter.

The mountains were incredible, beautiful, and rugged. Area was very remote and seemed to be virtually untouched by man. A very organized and first class hunt!” Joshua Spies (USA).

Unfortunately we do not have a picture of skilled hunter with the Mid-Caucasian Tur trophy as it was wounded on the last day of hunt and found on the next day by the guides.

We would like to welcome Butch for his future successful hunts in Russia and Asia.

CAUCASUS, RUSSIA – THE HUNTING PARADISE

Dagestan Tur hunting in Azerbaijan Kamchatka Snow Sheep hunting in Russia Mid-Caucasian Tur hunting in Russia

“Hunting paradise! Lots of animals and steep mountains,” – noted Reza Golsorkhi (USA) in the hunting protocol after his successful Mid-Caucasian Tur hunt in Russia. He got a nice 11-year old Tur on the second day. It was Reza’s fourth hunt in one trip. Due to the wayward hunting fate he was successful in three hard hunts, collecting also Kamchatka Snow Sheep and Dagestan Tur, but didn’t get the Caucasian Chamois which is considered to be easier. “I’ll be back,” – said this optimist. We are already looking forward to that, Reza!

“WHATEVER YOU WANT TO DO, DO IT NOW. THERE ARE SO MANY TOMORROWS.” Michael Landon

MID CAUCASIAN TUR HUNT IN RUSSIA:
THE FLYING START OF THE SEASON

 Mid-Caucasian Tur hunting in Russia

Bad luck came to Larry Higgins (USA) and Gary Rigotty (USA) during the Kuban Tur hunt in Russia: Worries started with lost luggage and continued with fruitless hunt. Nevertheless the hunters continued striving for victory and came to the top at Mid Caucasian Tur hunt. As Larry Higgins said: "The Mid Caucasian hunt was a great surprise. The camps & food were very good and the local staff was excellent. The two local guides I had were two of the best I have hunted with."
It looks like Larry's excellent Tur will be #5 or 6 in the Record Book!
We also want to congratulate Gary Rigotti: The Mid Caucasian Tur he got after a lot of climbing in foggy weather is his 30th species of Sheep. Gary is #10 who did it!  Hopefully the hunters will come back next year and after all will go great guns at the Kuban Tur hunt!
