Hume Argali hunting in Kyrgyzstan

Average size of Hume Argali is 51-52 inches with occasional 60inches trophy taken. It is an unforgettable adventure to hunt at 12000 feet on a horseback, when you are surrounded by a beautiful alpine panorama.
| How to get there |
The most convenient way to get to Bishkek is to use Turkish Airlines flying via Istanbul, Turkey. Our crew meets you at the airport, assists you through customs and takes to hotel. Then we take you to a restaurant for breakfast. After that you go by car to the hunting camp. Drive to the camp takes around 10 -11 hours. |

The season is from September 1 to December 1, February 1 to March 30 with the best time from October 15 to November 15. |

Most Kyrgyzstan hunting trips are done on horseback due to the immense amount of country that to be covered to hunt the animals successfully. Expect extensive horseback riding and considerable walking. Ride before you go on this hunt. Spike camp is set up with the specific goal of hunting a particular animal or area. Sheep are generally located in remote country at 12000 feet / 4000 m. Once the trophy is located you complete your stalk on foot. Physical condition is an important factor for stalking the trophy during the hunt. Long range shooting, up to 500 yards/m is normal. |
| Base Camps |
Camps are located at 11000 feet in Kyrgyzstan. They are traditional Asian yurts and wooden structures. They are warm, clean and comfortable with separate areas for dining, bathing and sleeping, they have electrical generation. Every camp is equipped with a satellite-phone or radio station, and has first-aid kit. You will find good food and qualitative service. |

During daylight hours in October the temperature is from 45 to 57 F / 5-15 C and at night 14 to 23 F / -5 -10 C. In November the temperature is from 5-14 F/ -10 -15 C and at nighttime from - 4 to + 5 F/ -15 -20 degrees. Hunters can expect hard frost in the mornings, wind, and sometimes deep snow in November. |
