Hunting areas are located in Eastern Kazakhstan bordering with China. PROFI HUNT Ltd has been guiding Maral Stag hunts for 10 years with over 90% success.

You arrive to Almaty, the capital of Kazakhstan, on Lufthansa flight, via Frankfurt. Our representative meets you at the airport and assists through the customs. We highly recommend to stay overnight in Almaty as all international airlines arrive there around midnight. In the morning you will travel to the hunting area. Drive to the hunting areas lasts for 7-12 hours, depending on the area you hunt. |

Hunting season is from the 1st of September to the 1st of December. Bugle Maral hunts run from the 15th of September to the 10th of October. It is not only the most exciting but also the most successful time to hunt. September, October are the best time for combination hunts for Maral & Mid-Asian Ibex or Siberian Roe deer. |

Bugling for a mature elk is one of the greatest hunting trillsl. It is not uncommon to hear six or nine Marals calling at the same time. Hunting is based from horse back due to the immense amount of country to be covered to hunt the animals successfully. Expect extensive horseback riding 8 – 10 hours a day and considerable walking. Some knowledge and experience with horses and riding is a must. A temporary tented camp is set up with the specific goal of hunting a particular animal or area. It usually takes at least one day to reach your spike camp. Elk is generally located on opened slopes of mountains at 8,000 -8,500 feet / 2,500-2,800 m. Once the trophy is spotted you complete your stalk on foot. A prime hunting time is in the morning and then in the evening. |
| Base Camps |
Camps are hunting cabins, tents or yurts, they are set up for no more that two to three hunters. They are clean, warm and comfortable but have no modern conveniences. Every camp has a cook who can offer you home style meals. You will find very good food and quality service. Electricity is supplied by generating sets. |
