Okhotsk Snow Sheep inhabits mountainous terrains of Khabarovsk region in Russia. Hunters can still found excellent populations of Snow Sheep there. The average size of Okhkotsk Snow Sheep ranges from 34-35inches to occasionally taken rams of 40inches. Sheep are found at the height of 4,000-5,000 feet / 1,300-1,700 m.

How to get there You arrive to Moscow International Airport; our crew meets you there, assists you through customs and takes to hotel. You may stay overnight in Moscow or fly to Khabarovsk at the same day. In Khabarovsk you should also stay overnight, due to the flight connection to Okhotsk. You fly to Okhotsk by commercial plane, and then we take you to the hunting area with helicopter charter. Flight from Moscow to Khabarovsk last about 7 hours, from Khabarovsk to Okhotsk it takes almost 3 hours, and the last helicopter flight takes you between one or two hours depending on the area you hunt.
Hunting season The season starts from August 1 to October 1 with optimum hunting period from the 1st of August to the 10th of September.
Hunting Hunting is done on foot. Each hunter has two guides during the hunt. Backpack hunt is traditional. A temporary tented camp is set up with the specific goal of hunting a particular animal or area. Long range shooting, 350-450yards is normal.
Base Camps Camps are modern windproof tents. They are equipped with stoves and cots. There are separate one large tent for dining and one for shower. The camps are located in mountain valleys at 2,500 –3,000 feet (800 -1000m). Every camp has a cook who can offer tasty meals. You will find very good food and qualitative service. The camps are equipped with radio. Electricity is supplied by generating sets.
Weather In August during daylight hours the temperature is from 40 F/ 15 C up to 50 F / 25 C and during night from 32 F / 0 C up to 40 F/ 10 C.
Itinerary
Day 1 Flight to Moscow and then to Khabarovsk
Day 2 Arrival in Khabarovsk, overnight.   
Day 3 Flight to Okhotsk at 9:00 in the morning, then to the hunting area by helicopter 
Day 4-13 10 days of hunting
Day 14 Back to Okhotsk and to Khabarovsk, overnight
Day 15 Flight to Moscow, departure Moscow
